I am originally from Rialto, Ca (yeah I know, and yes it is a tough place for a white kid to grow up in). Needless to say I survived that experience and moved on to bigger and better things after High School. I have been described as funny and somewhat of a nutcase by my friends. I have lived all around the USA and now reside in Somerset Kentucky, my first experience in rural living! I feel like Zsa Zsa Gabor in Green Acres. Somerset has its good and its not-so-good points, it is very beautiful in the spring and fall but summer and winter suck! Kentuckians are also very friendly, friendlier than they are in San Diego and a hell of a lot friendlier than the Inland Empire/Los Angeles region where I am from. Things that have surprised me since moving here is that Louisville and Cincinnati are as fun and sophisticated as any large city I have been to out west. However living out in the Styx is getting kind of old and I hope to move on soon (most likely to Cincinnati, Miami or Louisville and maybe someday back home to Southern California). I have been fortunate in life in that I have meet many wonderful, smart people over the years but non would be like my late wife,who dies while giving birth to our only son(Paul),well he lives with my mom now till i can bring him up my self... |
